Nooga.com Reports Chattanooga Is Getting A Temporary Ice Skating Rink

Chattanooga Presents has announced that a temporary ice skating rink will be constructed near Ross’s Landing.

Ice on the Landing will be open Nov. 28 to Jan. 4 and offer a family-oriented Rockefeller Center skating experience.

Opening night will be the same night as the annual Lighted Boat Parade, which traditionally kicks off the holiday season.

The rink will be a 50-by-70-foot open-air facility with a focus on general skating for the public, special themes, appearances by Santa and a rotating schedule to benefit local nonprofit groups.

Tickets will be $10 per person, which includes skating rentals. The rink will be open daily to the public.

It is unclear whether sports such as ice hockey will be allowed to use the surface.
